This later become the most popular mounting method for diamonds as it brings out the full brilliance of the diamond as light enters from the top and from under the precious gem. It is also fairly easy to remove and re-mount the jewel when your finger does not fit the ring size, and this become popular for diamond engagement rings. This mount later become known as the The Tiffany® Setting.
